Using Relationships in Siri
Once you get to use Siri a few times, it soon becomes second nature to call or text a contact in your address book.
To take it a step further you can ask Siri to assign relationship to your contacts. This means you can use natural language to call contacts you have closer relationship with.
Text my husband I’ll be home in 30 minutes
There are several ways you can add relationships:
Tell Siri directly. For instance:
Joe Bloggs is my brother
If you ask Siri to contact a relationship without setting it first (such as saying “Call my sister”), Siri will ask you if you’d like to create a relationship.
You can also add relationships the ‘slow’ way by editing your contacts. Go to your own contact card (create one if you haven’t done this yet) and click Add Field=>Related People
To remove a relationship it needs to be deleted manually from the contact card.
