Does the Apple Watch have Siri built in?
All versions of the Apple watch include Siri.
It can be used in a very similar way to Siri on the iPhone, with the ability to play music, check the weather, stocks, calculate directions, send messages, start workouts and much more.
In fact, many of the tutorials on Siri User Guide also apply to the Apple Watch, the main difference being how results are displayed.
Remember your Apple Watch needs to be connected to Cellular or Wifi for Siri to work.
Siri can be activated straight from your wrist by holding down the digital crown.
Siri on the Apple Watch can also be activated via a ‘Hey Siri’ voice command, a feature first implemented with iOS 8 on the iPhone and iPad.
To make sure ‘Hey Siri’ is enabled, go to:
Settings > General > Siri
Check ‘Hey Siri’ is turned on then press the Digital Crown again to jump back to your watch face.
As of Apple Watch Series 3, Siri can speak responses to you, and you can activate and use Siri from a paired Bluetooth headset.
On earlier models, Siri responds visually on your watch face by displaying messages on the screen.
From watchOS 4 you can change your watch face to a dedicated Siri face.
