Many would argue this should have happened a very long time ago, but the latest update to iOS allows Siri to interact with third party applications, such as Spotify, Apple Music's close rival.
Apple are reportedly in talks with Spotify to allow Siri to play songs, playlists and podcasts using voice commands.
Apple Music would still be the default music application but users would be able to trigger Spotify by saying:
Hey Siri, play The Greatest Showman album in Spotify.
To enable the feature, go to Settings > Siri & Search, and scroll down through your apps until you see Spotify. Click Spotify and toggle Use with Ask Siri so the status bar is green.
Hopefully an agreement can be reach soon, and the longstanding feud between the two companies can come to an end.
